New Jersey is a metropolitan area located right in between New York and Philadelphia. Traveling can be tough especially when there’s traffic and congestion, specifically during the daily rush hour commute. Good thing for all New Jersey commuters: there is the New Jersey Transit and public transportation which is the best solution for getting around New Jersey.
The NJ trains fall under the New Jersey Transit operations, which is the the public transportation system in New Jersey. The NJ Transit includes the bus service, the commuter rail service, and the light rail service. There are actually two train services which fall under the category of the New Jersey train, the light rail system and the rail system, both of which are considered as part of the New Jersey Train system.
The difference between a light rail NJ train and the NJ train rail system lies in the capacity of each train system. The light rail system is a form of urban public transportation created to accommodate less than the rail system. The rail system is a form of train system which accommodates more than the light rail system in terms of weight and freight, and is usually faster in terms of speed.
The NJ train has been around since the 1990s, and services three light rail lines in three different areas of New Jersey.
